LEADERSHIP AND TEAM EXPERIENCE ACROSS
MAJOR LONDON SCHEMES

Our focus is on delivering excellence in non-structural construction and allied and associated elements.
Scale: We realistically seek and expect to be considered for modest schemes initially, for new partners, where we can prove our worth, leading to repeat engagement and more ambitious scale – typically this would be on commercial fit out schemes.
Scope: Our skill set and competencies lend themselves to those aspects of space creation and demarcation that deliver what Landlords and/or Occupiers use to define their demise in conjunction with the Main Contractor and all the other aspects of commercial space.

Where those skills are also relevant, we work in that type of space – higher grade and/or larger scale residential buildings, retail, hospitality and entertainment space.
Most of our work is in City or Town Centre locations, where managing constrained access is an inherent part of logistics.

Phil Meyler – Founder, Visionary, Operational Lead
Phil cares; he’s been through too much not to. So, he created, and is driving, an innovative business that will do different things and do things differently – better, of course, but pragmatic – a view annealed by experience; nonetheless, with bundles of enthusiasm.
You have to admire his resilience.
Biography
Phil is a highly experienced construction professional proven through leading the delivery of a wide range of major developments, many in London, deploying deep practical knowledge and a strong understanding of complex building projects.
His successful track record includes Commercial or Operational Lead for several landmark schemes, notably The Shard and One Churchill Place.
With decades of hands-on industry involvement, Phil is known for his high competence, reliability, technical insight, and ability to support large-scale projects from concept, on to construction, through to completion.
Phil has designed Mitre Interior Services to address many of the shortcomings he experienced from various supply partners, and to integrate ‘best in class’, and ‘best practice’ into the Mitre ethos.
The Vision: To quickly become supply side allies to a modest portfolio of highly appropriate Main Contractors, highly competent in the delivery of quality space to commercial office, mixed-use and relevant ‘other’ sectors (such as Listed Buildings and High End Residential).

Lauren Meyler – Executive/Corporate Lead
Lauren has exceptional oversight for how business needs to be for the modern context – she keeps us straight and true – resistant to the temptation to chase turnover at all costs, laser focused on being different and better and sharper – aspirational for our business and for our partners and their clients.
Biography
When Phil decided to create and launch Mitre Interior Services, Lauren led the process to ensure protocols, systems and procedures were in place that enabled excellence of service.
An entrepreneur in her own right, her perspective from a non-construction point of view was used to build the ‘fresh thinking’ approach – better, different, novel.
Phil and the team concentrate on winning and delivering the projects, and Lauren uses her business acumen to focus on running the Mitre Interior Services business aligned to our customers’ needs.
She is used to the fickle demands of clients choosing and using highly competitive retail businesses, as well as not conforming to the ‘male, pale and stale’ conventional approach in construction.
Lauren pro-actively ensures our accreditations are maintained, our fiscal and financial processes are robust and that we remain compliant at all times, internally and externally in site operational activities.

Stewart Owen – Pre-Construction and Commercial Lead
Stewart brings a perspective honed by the frustration of seeing contractors promise ‘special’ but deliver ‘ordinary’. Faster, better, should, and can be more cost-effective – ‘Speed’, ‘Quality’, ‘Value’.
He ensures that the understanding of the project drivers and promises made carries through from the initial conversations to the enquiry, bidding, appointment, delivery, PC and post-completion phases.
He’s worked out that once you secure a relationship, it’s far better to keep it than to try to win a replacement – obvious, really – how come the industry knows this but disregards it? A puzzle for the years
Biography
Stewart has led many office fit-out and refurbishment projects from initial relationship through pre-construction, construction phase interventions and leadership, achievement of PC, post-completion defects close-out and, challengingly, Construction Dispute Resolution.
